FAQs
How do I know this will work for me?
My methods are tried and tested (including on my own children) with a 100% success rate. As long as you are prepared to commit to the plan for a few weeks I’m completely confident that we can achieve your sleep goals.
Will there be tears?
I won’t lie to you and tell you there’ll be no tears at all. I would expect there to be a few tears in the early days but this should subside quite quickly. Throughout the process it’s good to bare in mind that crying is the only way of communicating their feelings little ones have for a while, including when they’ve already started to talk, so they might be telling you that they need a bit of extra reassurance (which we never discourage you from giving them!) or just that they’re feeling a bit chilly or have some wind.
Is it okay to bring my child on our consultation call?
I completely understand that you’re most likely looking after your little one 24/7 and that it can be difficult to find someone to help out. I love seeing your cuties on our video calls and have absolutely no problem with this. Feel free to feed, rock, jiggle or play with your little one as much as you need to. Most of what we discuss in the call is more for me to get to know you, so you won’t have too much to remember, and anything you need to know will be summarized in a follow up email or your sleep plan. If you think of any questions afterwards you’re always welcome to send me a text and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
How long will it take to start seeing results?
You can expect to see some big improvements in the first week of your plan and in most cases even on day 1 or 2. By the end of your 4 week support period, you will have achieved your sleep goals and be confident to navigate your baby’s sleep on your own.
I have twins - do I have to buy 2 services?!
Absolutely not! We would love to help you with your twin’s sleep and will honour our usual price for our Simple 1:1 Service.
Will I be stuck in the house the whole time?
No! While I’ll ask you to commit to the plan as much as possible for the duration of the support period, I completely understand that life happens and some things are worth losing sleep over. You’ll see the best results if you can get baby in their own sleep space for the majority of their day and night sleeps, especially in the first week or two, but short trips away or an off day won’t set you back and I often recommend a contact or motion nap in the afternoon for younger babies.
Do you do in-house sleep training?
Sadly this isn’t something I can offer at the minute as I have my own little ones at home who need me, but I’ll likely offer this service in the future.
I’m local, can we do our consultation in person?
I’d love to meet you in person and am happy to meet you in your home or out and about. I think it can be really beneficial to both of us to get a feel for each other and I know some great spots for cake. Please note I do charge for mileage for this service.
Does sleep training mean I have to stop feeding at night?
No! I’m a big believer in being child led for night feeds (and in the day!) and some children might need a feed in the night for longer than others. I’ll never ask you to stop feeding your baby if it’s not what you want, but I can suggest an age appropriate number of feeds so that they’ll never go hungry while they learn to self settle.
